DESIGN IN CONSTRUCTION

In the next days, weeks I will be fidgeting with the design and look of the image of my blog.  I know what I want just not sure how to get there.  So warning that it will look weird some days but hopefully the final result with be a clean look that is enjoyable to read.

Great news though!  In God we are in construction, however He already has a perfect design set for us. We do not have to live life in a fidgety mode but confident that in Him we are perfect.  The design for our life, our hearts is in the Bible and through the leading of the Holy Spirit we can be who we are designed to be. Thank goodness for grace in the process!

Any suggestions, tips or advice is very much welcomed....

Journaling

We enjoyed a great break this year for the holidays.  Many posts have been started in my mind and I am ready to put them out in writing.  I started blogging because I wanted to encourage and have a place to speak from my heart what I was learning in God.  From there I just naturally started to write about my family and simple moments in my life that actually were lessons I was walking out.

Now I think that I am in a journaling phase, which is probably the real start to wanting to blog.  I use to journal when I was a teen and right to getting married.  I have no real reason to why or what but like I say I think in some way I can bring encouragement to someone out there.  So here is the next phase in my blog, probably the next phase in my heart that I am willing to share.....

Mommy Confessions

In the next few posts to come I am joining my friend, Jenn Garcia, Jenn: Moms Not Like Us in asking other moms the following questions.  I believe that we can glean from each other; we can inspire each other and learn from each other.  I believe in strengthen moms bring to each other so I am looking forward to hearing from many of my friends….

  • Are you a Scheduled or Non-Scheduled Mom? What are the benefits and downfalls to your choice?
  • What is your biggest Mommy Pet-Peeve?
  • Your funniest/most embarrassing “Mom/Child’ moment?
  • Given the opportunity, what- if anything- would you do differently as a Mom?
  • Do you have a secret “Mommy Confession”- something that you did/do that you are willing to share?
  • Cloth or Disposable Diapers?
  • Did the way you were parented shape that way that you parent your own children?
  • What are your “non-negotiables” when it comes to your kids?
  • What was your biggest fear when you found out you were going to be a Mom?
  • Did you breastfeed- why/why not? Did you feel pressure to/not to?
  • Do you have a funny “labor” moment?
  • What is your “secret” addiction or obsession?
  • One thing that you do for your kids- because you love them- but you absolutely dread it every time!?
  • What is something you said you would NEVER do with/to your children, that you have found yourself doing?
  • Labor with drugs or without drugs?
  • What is the best piece of advice you could give to a new Mother?

Here is the link to my response to her questions, Annette: Love Conquers All. You can also look around and read her mom friends’ answers.  I think you will enjoy reading them!

'Publish'

The only way to get back into blogging is to just sit here and write.  So with really no post in mind I am  typing my rambling so that I can hit 'Publish'.....

It is summer, I thought my time would be flowing in abundance with spare time oozing at the end of every day!  I have not done what I wanted to other then to be with my kids.

Last Friday we enjoyed an afternoon of sun and water at the YMCA. It filled my heart with a peace to just stop and enjoy the kids.

Swimming is the constant thing we do almost daily.
I am surprised at how well and easy going I have been with all that it entails in taking kids to the pool.
Did you know they grow up?!
.....yep that realization settled deep in my heart this summer that they are growing up.
*sigh*

Bleubird Diary

I am renaming my blog primarily because I bought a domain name and want to use it.  This will now match that and I can hopefully expand with ease.  I know I have not been consistent in my posting however with this 'new name' I seem to have hit the refresher button to write. Here is preview if you will on my upcoming journal accounts of my life...

I am now a stay at home after being a working mom for almost 4 years. I think often of the debate between working moms and stay at home moms and I must say that they are both equally different. I am happy, honored, thankful and at peace with being back home full time. Things are different around here now that the kids are older. Things are different because I have changed. I love where I am at with myself, with my family, with my life! Here is to Bleubird Diary

Blogging from the car....

That's right I am blogging from the car as my husband is the designated driver. On that note let branch and say that I am capable of driving yet he insist on being the captian. So since once again I am co-pilot I am going to share images from inside our fantastic, yes fantastic mini-van....

Ok.... so my smart, ingenious idea is....how can I say this...not going to happen as far as posting pictures. No doubt you knew I couldn't really blog images from my phone to your screen but you gave me the chance to believe I could. Gee so much for being techy! lol

I owe images and will do so once I am no longer confined to being a passenger.

Ps...I am really laughing at myself so go on keep chuckling with no worries. :o
