Tuesday Thought Transformer

I have the privilege to share with you every Tuesday the encouraging ministry of Dr. Rob Carman.  Both Dr. Rob and Mrs. Ginger have influenced my life through inspiration, courage and encouragement to know that I can do anything with God.

Here is a glimpse of their ministry: Victory World Missions was founded by Dr. Rob and Ginger Carman, for the purpose of taking almost three decades of their life and depositing them into national pastors and church leaders. Their heart remains the same; "Our Vision is the World, Our Passion is Souls!" ...click for more information www.robcarman.com

Without a doubt I know that you will also be influenced to know that you can do anything.....
The Great Paradox

All of us have one thing in common, the desire to have energy and vitality, to not only meet the responsibilities of life, but to meet them with excitement and a sense of adventure!

We all want to live on a higher level physically, mentally and spiritually.  We want to enjoy life and everyday living. There are two ingredients necessary for this to happen and those are joy and enthusiasm.

Joy and enthusiasm are a great paradox, because they can grow in any soil and live under any condition.  They defy the environment.  They come from within not from without. They are not the result of having, but of being.  Not of possessing, but of enjoying. They are a paradox, because they can coexist with trails, tragedy and poverty.  A martyr at the stake can be the envy of a king on the throne

Look at the tremendous physical effects they have on us.  A well quoted scripture found in Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart does good like medicine" can be and has been proven scientifically.  Norman Cousins was a man who had a rare disease of the connective tissue and was given one chance in five hundred of a full recovery.  Cousins took Proverbs 17:22 and filled his life with joy and enthusiasm.  He concluded in his book, Anatomy of an Illness as Perceived by a Patient, that if negative emotions cause negative results, why can't positive emotions bring the opposite. Cousins than asked himself. "Is it possible that love, faith, laughter, confidence and the will to live can have therapeutic value?  They did and he went on to live into his nineties.

Consider asking God to guide you and show you His best as you follow this week's Action Steps:
 Action Steps
  1. Begin today to look for all the good, the beauty, and the wonders of God.
  2. Fill your life with the positive thoughts that come from God's word, go through the sayings of Jesus and allow them to create a picture in your mind.
  3. Remember joy and enthusiasm are a great paradox!  Let them live in you in spite of the conditions around you.
These simple yet proven "Thought Transformers" will change your thinking which will change your life, if you let them... The "Thought Transformers" are not just ideas, they are the principles I follow in my daily life. - Dr. Rob Carman

Opposites within

There is the assurance that I have in me that I know that God can and will do anything in our lives.  I trust in that fact as I have seen Him do great things.  Even in that assurance though I find myself a bit concerned because we still have to walk through situations.  In walking through a current situation in my life right now I am learning I have this assurance yet I am concerned.

What am I suppose to do with these two opposites inside me? I know that I should not be double minded. So the best thing I have at hand is to confess God's Word out loud over and over.  Of the two opposites within me I want the assurance in God to rule over the other.  I must remind myself that God's Word does not return void!

What does His Word say? Let's start with Romans 10:8
The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It's the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us.
I am not sure what you may be going through but God is there to go to work and set things right for us! So yes we may have opposites in us but let the word of God, the assurance we have in Him dominate any concern, fear, lack, that is rumbling inside. Grab unto a scripture and speak.  Were not just traveling with Jesus and sight seeing the miracles He has done for others.  We are following Him, participating in His doings for our life.  This may seem all repeat for you but I needed to remind myself that He, Jesus the one that I follow, is greater in me then the opposite even stirring within.

Painting in our life

Silly things can get us to think on Godly things such as painting our home.  We painted my daughter's room this past weekend and I started to think about my life in God's hands.  There is so much to say about God and His love and grace in our life.  Just imagine with me this thought I have....

As I would brush the paint on the walls and see the strokes cover the old paint I could not help to think that God's love covers our old self like that.  Even more then our old self how about some of our current self? Paint can change, transform the room and so does the love of God.

Pondering on all of this I also thought about how many times a house can change it is design.  Like in fashion one day it is in and one day it is out....haha I took that from Project Runway. What I am trying to say is that despite how many years a house can be it will have had at least one more coat of paint through the years.  Our lives will have more then one coat of paint regardless of what we say or do God can and will cover us with His love. So in that I find such expecatncy to know that the strokes of God's love is covering it all leaving His grace to be my color!

My favorite pastime as co-pilot...reading!! Reading One Day
Enough water to keep us hydrated for the road trip

Blogging from the car....

That's right I am blogging from the car as my husband is the designated driver. On that note let branch and say that I am capable of driving yet he insist on being the captian. So since once again I am co-pilot I am going to share images from inside our fantastic, yes fantastic mini-van....

Ok.... so my smart, ingenious idea is....how can I say this...not going to happen as far as posting pictures. No doubt you knew I couldn't really blog images from my phone to your screen but you gave me the chance to believe I could. Gee so much for being techy! lol

I owe images and will do so once I am no longer confined to being a passenger.

Ps...I am really laughing at myself so go on keep chuckling with no worries. :o
